Digital Health Initiative 2024 Conference:
Health Equity in the Digital Era

The Digital Health Initiative 2024 Conference: Health Equity in the Digital Era, was held on May 6th at the Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture. Attended by over 100 representatives from community-based organizations, healthcare centers, private industry, and government entities, the conference featured discussions on the use of digital tools to promote equitable healthcare and public health solutions. Speakers and panelists discussed strategies to address the challenges of disparities in digital health care and literacy, such as reducing bias in artificial intelligence for use in healthcare, incorporating diversity in all phases of digital health innovation, improving current tools such as patient portals and electronic health records, promoting patient engagement through mobile apps, and using digital health tools in tandem with affirming, in-person care.
Digital Health Initiative 2025 Conference:
Navigating Digital Health Across the Age Continuum
This conference offers an opportunity to understand how digital solutions address unique health challenges faced by different age groups and emphasizes the importance of bridging the digital generation gap. The conference will be held at the New York University Kimmel Center on Tuesday, June 17, 2025, from 8:30 am – 4:00 pm.

Who We Are

The Digital Health Initiative (DHI) develops, researches, and implements technology-based interventions to impact AIDS Institute healthcare goals. Since 2010, DHI has sponsored a range of activities for funded community organizations, clinicians, and staff, including conferences, workshops, presentations, strategic planning, and other initiatives.
